Hey kid, been awhile since we last had a chat, huh? Know you’ve got a lot on your plate right now, more than it seems to most people. The mental state you’ve been in, not for the faint of heart. And it seems like you’ve been beating yourself down a lot, too. Confrontations are at an all-time high. Big things are on the horizon. The time is coming, to prove that you can swim. But that’s not what this letter is for. No, I’m here to remind you of what’s amazing about you. Recently, it seems like I’ve started to really lose my drive, my motivation to do much of anything really. It kinda feels like I’m going through the motions, like I have too much to handle, and like I simply can’t win right now. I’m thinking this is adding on to my drive loss (or maybe it’s more things I’m lying to myself about), but the point here is that it’s slowly waning, and I need to stop that from happening. Really, I need to stop letting the world get the best of me, because right now I’m letting that happen in so many ways. And that’s always been the case, and that needs to change. Sorry, this is a bit rushed and convoluted.

Well, if I were pregnant, I would make an immediate call to a lab to report an amazing feat of science. And then I would wonder exactly where this baby is living, and how I were to give birth to it…and if my boyfriend were pregnant, as he would say, “Well, I guess we don’t have to try harder anymore.” (lulz) and of course, with my biology, I have nature’s birth control: homosexuality. One of the nice perks, not having to worry about any surprise babies (I remember a joke a long time ago that I always reference. It’s something along the lines of, “Oh, hey boy, man, last night was crazy! Y’know, I was so drunk, I went online and accidentally adopted us a Chinese baby. Soooo…you’re a dad now.)
In the interest of answering the question, I would probably be under a lot more stress to acquire some work to support the baby. I am a youngin, after all. I have no business being a dad at the age of 20. But if I were to make a baby, then I’m owning up to that, and I’d step up for my child. However, that’s exactly why, were I straight, I’d play it absolutely safe with sex. I want kids, of course, but not right now, when I should be living for myself. Once you have kids, it’s not about you, it’s about them. And I’m selfish enough that I want to enjoy my youth and get all my crazies out so that I’m calm and proper to have my kids live their full lives, and be the best dad possible. That’s how it should be, in my opinion. 20s are for living, for being selfish, for having fun. And personally, kids won’t be on my brain until late 20s, early 30s. Although, I am very excited to be a dad. I really can’t wait, but then again. I can. No rush; it’ll come when I’m ready.

It’s a bit hard to answer this prompt since there’s a lot of problems that I’m having to deal with right now. I’m not one for exaggeration in reality, or in general usually (unless it comes to my line of work), so when I say there’s a lot to deal with, it’s only because it is. I really do feel like a lot is falling apart, and that I don’t have much in the way of support. That awkward time between school and employment couldn’t be more brutal (or perhaps it could). I have to remember what support I do have, because it’s the best thing I have for me right now. I have to remember it’s there, and not take what little I have for granted, otherwise I’d have nothing. I just hope things improve soon.

I wrote about this incident before, so I’ll link it since I don’t really wanna go through that all over again. It was between sophomore and junior years, probably the lowest point of my teenage years, and my life period. I’m nowhere near that point, and I don’t think I’ll ever be at that point. It’s been behind me, and it’ll stay there.
