How Would you Describe the City you Live in? How’s Your Neighborhood?
Back when I was a child, this town as alright. It was not the safest haven, hell I just talked about how my sister and I were almost kidnapped, but it wasn’t the cop-less, scary hell it is now. It was a diamond in a rough if anything. It was once we lost our financial security and declared bankruptcy that everything quickly went straight to hell. Now, it’s more ghetto than before, very dangerous at night. So many people are leaving the school district, and the city in general, and it’s not just residents. Businesses have been drying up left and right, there’s so many empty buildings. There’s not much left of this town, to be honest.
As messed up and awful as this town has turned into, I still have fond memories of this place. I mean, I moved here New Years Eve when I was 1 and a half. All my memories are of this place really; the park I would play in not far from my house, exploring on foot around the neighborhood (which is actually the nicer ghetto neighborhood), firework shows from Marine World, turned Discovery Kingdom. As much as I don’t want to stay in this city any longer (temporarily moving definitely helped that cause out), I still have a fondness and deep appreciation for this town, and I think that’s important to have.
